Advanced Search

ContractSafe regular search is powerful but you can take it up to 11 with Advanced Search!

When you normally search for something in ContractSafe, we search through all the metadata (the information you've entered) as well as all of the contract text to find what you're looking for.  Sometimes you need a more focused search.  That's where Advanced Search comes in.

ContractSafe Advanced Search lets you create complex search queries with Boolean terms, or search a narrower set of information than our regular search.  To open up the Advanced Search, just click on "Advanced Search" under the search box.

Once you open up Advanced Search, there are two things you can do.

First - you can narrow the search down to exactly the area you are looking for.  Want to search just in the contract text of your contracts?  Just in the data you've entered? Just in the Counterparties or Notes sections?  You can choose where to target your search.  The search will go much more quickly and get you exactly what you need.

Second - you can combine search terms.  For example, you could search for all of your contracts that contain indemnification language in the contract and Governing Law is Delaware:

You can add as many search conditions as you want by clicking on the "+".  Choose whether you want to search for "And" or "Or" conditions.  "And" means that the first term and the second term must both be True for a result.  "Or" means that either term can be true by itself in your result.
