Using Ask AI chat on the contract page
Ask AI chat lets you ask contract-specific questions and get instant answers without scrolling or searching.

Turn it on/off
This feature is on by default for all organization (besides Canada for now), but if your admin needs to turn this on or off, they can go to Settings >AI and Workflow Options > AI Chat and turn on/off the Ask AI chatbot.
Any Admin or Department Admin can turn these features on or off for your entire account.
Using Ask AI Chat:
Open a contract in ContractSafe.
Click the Ask AI icon in the contract page action menu.
Type your question or use the suggested ones, such as:
- “What’s the renewal date?”
- “List the termination clauses.”
Notes:
- AI chat currently only works on the contract you have open. It won't be able to answer questions across multiple contracts (Yet).
- Please note that larger contracts may take longer to process, and AI chat currently only supports contracts up to ~100 pages. The cutoff depends on the overall file sizes and page count, and generally the chatbot isn't as helpful around that threshold (for now).
- Your chat record on the contract is not saved, so be sure to copy/paste anything you need before closing out the window.
- This feature is available in all regions except Canada (for now).
