(NEW) Using eSign in ContractSafe

The eSign Workspace centralizes everything you need for sending, tracking, and managing eSignatures all without leaving ContractSafe.

Overview

Turn it on

eSign is only found on our Finalize and Maximize plans. Check with your CSM to learn more. 

To turn on eSignature, go to Settings > AI and Workflow Options > eSign and toggle it on. 
You can also allow Read Only, Download Ok users to use eSign if you'd like. 

Send a contract for Signature

Changing the contract settings

To send a contract for signature, start on the contract

Then go to the eSign workspace

Add your signers by typing out their name and email or select from a list of previously used signers.

Check Set signer order to rearrange who should sign first. If left blank, all signers will receive the request at the same time. 

Allow signer reassignment lets the person who created the request to change out a signer after the request has been sent out without having to cancel the whole thing and start over. 

Select Next when ready

Add signature fields

With your contract settings complete, you can add signature fields. Simply drag and drop the fields where you want them. Then select Next

Add a title and message. Then select Send for Signature

Track progress and take actions

With the requests sent out, you'll see that the current status has been changed to Awaiting Signature. You also have a few actions that you can take:

  • Remind all: This will send a reminder email to all signers who are still in Awaiting Signature status. Those that have already signed will not receive an email. 
  • Cancel eSign: This will cancel the entire request and emails will be sent out notifying signers that it has been cancelled. 

There are 2 additional actions you can take for each signer. Select the ellipses:

  • Send Reminder: Will just send email reminder to the signer you selected
  • Replace Signer: This will allow you to edit the name and email of the signer to replace it with someone else. Once complete, the new signer will receive an email asking them to sign. 

Filtering and reporting

To keep track of what's been signed or still awaiting signature, there are some filters and fields you can use on the contract list.
