How do I change the file name in ContractSafe (for download/email)?

When you upload a contract to ContractSafe, we keep it exactly the way you uploaded it, including the file name. However, when you download it or send it out you have the choice of using the original file name or the ContractSafe Name field.

We are excited to announce a new feature in ContractSafe that allows Administrators to select either to download/email out files using the ContractSafe Name field used in the software or the file name at the time of the upload. This feature gives admins more control over how files are downloaded/sent and organized, making it easier to manage and share files with others.

To change the account setting for this feature, simply go to Settings and select the dropdown (this is at the bottom of the Settings page).  The default is to download the file exactly as uploaded (with the original file name).  When "ContractSafe Name Field used as filename" is selected, then all downloads (bulk or individual) and emailed files will use the ContractSafe Name field as the file name . ContractSafe Name

With this toggle option, admins can choose to use the name given to the files in the software or the name at the time of the upload for the entire account.  This feature cannot be changed by individual user, it is an Organization setting.  

Important note:  Changing the toggle will not change the original file name.  That will still be stored in ContractSafe and it is possible to switch back and forth between the two options.
