How do I change the contract/file name in ContractSafe?

When you upload a contract to ContractSafe, we keep it exactly the way you uploaded it, including the file name. However, when you download it or send it out you have the choice of using the original file name or the ContractSafe Name field.

To change the account setting, simply go to Settings>Company Settings and look for the Download files using dropdown (this is at the bottom of the page).  The default is to download the file exactly as uploaded (with the original file name). 

When "ContractSafe Name Field used as filename" is selected, then all downloads (bulk or individual) and emailed files will use the ContractSafe Name field as the file name.

With this toggle option, admins can choose to use the name given to the files in the software or the name at the time of the upload for the entire account.  

Important note:  Changing the toggle will not change the original file name.  That will still be stored in ContractSafe and it is possible to switch back and forth between the two options.

This feature cannot be changed by individual users, it is an Organization setting.  

To change the name of a file go to the Contract Page, click on the Name, and write over the new name.
