How do I add and edit Folders?

Organizing your Folder structure can be done in a few simple steps!

Here are the simple steps to manage your folders.

1. Add and Edit folders: From the Dashboard, select 'Manage Folders. You can also go to Settings>Folders, Tags, and Filters. The interface on both pages should be the same.


After clicking Manage Folders, a small window will pop up. Type in the name of a new folder and select + Add or click the data field with an existing name you want to change and proceed to type the new folder name.
 
2. Delete folders by clicking the X adjacent to the folder name.

Note: Deleted folders cannot be restored.

If a top-level folder is deleted, its contracts will be moved to the Uncategorized folder. Depending on your user role, you may or may not see this Uncategorized folder.

If a subfolder is deleted, its contracts will be moved into the subfolder's parent folder.


3. To add a subfolder, you first need to enable it. Here's how.
Once done, simply navigate to the Manage Folders button on the Dashboard or over at Settings>Folders, Tags, and Filters. Click on the +Subfolder button, type the name of the subfolder, and finally, click on +Add.

Note: Only the Account Owner, Admins and Department Admins on an account can change Folders and Subfolders. 

Once a folder is created, it cannot be moved around to a different location. As a workaround, you can create the same folder on another location, move the contracts to the new folder, then delete the old one. 

Moving contracts can be done in bulk by going to the Contracts List, and marking contracts using the checkbox.
