Every team has its own way of talking about the contract process. What ContractSafe calls “In Progress,” your organization might call “Legal Review.”
Now, admins on the Maximize plan can rename Lifecycle Tracking stages to match the language their teams already use. That means less translating, easier onboarding, and a clearer view of where every contract stands.
Customize your lifecycle stage names to reflect what your organization calls each stage.
The stages and their order stay the same. Only the names change, so your team no longer has to fit its terminology into ContractSafe’s default stage names.
Your custom names appear wherever your team works with lifecycle stages, including contract pages, lists, filters, reports, exports, and notifications.
You can also search using either the custom name or the original ContractSafe name. If you rename “In Progress” to “Legal Review,” for example, searching for either term will help you find the right contracts.
When everyone uses the same language, it’s easier to understand progress and keep work moving.
Teams and leaders will see your organization’s stage names in tracking views and reports. Stage-change emails will also use the familiar terms, helping contract owners, requesters, and guests quickly understand what’s happening.
Renaming a stage updates how it appears on existing contracts without changing the stage itself or its place in the contract lifecycle.
Your saved views and filters will continue to work. If you ever want to switch back, you can reset one stage or return every stage to its original name.
Custom stage names help your organization:
With familiar stage names throughout ContractSafe, your team can understand where contracts stand, communicate more clearly, and keep work moving without learning a second set of terms.
