Document Conversion Pre-Upload Checklist
Overview: Use this checklist to ensure your document is ready for conversion. Running through these quick checks before uploading will prevent errors and ensure the highest quality results.
Part 1: The "Must-Haves" (Critical)
If you cannot check these boxes, the conversion will fail.
-
[ ] Password Removed: The file is not password-protected or encrypted. (I can open it without entering a code).
-
[ ] File Integrity: The file opens correctly on my computer and is not corrupted.
-
[ ] Supported Format: The file is saved in a supported standard format (e.g., .DOCX, .PDF, etc.).
Part 2: Quality Assurance
If you cannot check these boxes, the document may look messy or contain errors after conversion.
-
[ ] Clean Text (No Scans): The document was created digitally (not a scanned image of a paper). Tip: If you can click and drag to highlight the text, it is digital.
-
[ ] Scanned Document Quality (If applicable): If it is a scan, the page is straight, the lighting is even, and the text is crisp and legible.
-
[ ] Standard Fonts: The document uses standard system fonts (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman, Calibri) rather than custom, downloaded fonts.
-
[ ] Simplified Layout: I have removed complex elements like nested tables, floating text boxes, or heavy background graphics where possible.
