Everything you need to look for in contract management security
Spellbook ACM’s autonomous contract management is the contract lifecycle under a new name, and ContractSafe already runs it for unlimited users at a published price. See why teams choose ContractSafe.
Spellbook ACM, short for autonomous contract management, is Spellbook’s new name for the contract lifecycle: intake, review, approvals, a repository and renewal alerts. Spellbook’s own ACM page calls it a CLM replacement in the headline. It became generally available on October 7, 2026, and Spellbook’s pricing page, as of October 2026, offers a custom quote priced by team member and lists no ACM price at all.
ContractSafe already runs that lifecycle, for everyone in your company: intake forms anyone can submit, AI review against your playbook, approval sequences, unlimited built-in e-signatures, OCR search and renewal reminders. Every plan comes with unlimited users and a published price starting at $450/month, with the complete lifecycle on Maximize starting at $815/month. Nothing to wait for, nothing to quote.
ContractSafe publishes every price. Pricing starts at $450/month for Organize, with Finalize at $660 and Maximize at $815, billed annually, for up to 100 contracts, with unlimited users on every plan. Tiers rise with contract volume, never with headcount, so bringing sales, procurement and finance into the system costs nothing extra. Onboarding, migration and a dedicated Customer Success Manager are included, with no implementation fee.
Spellbook quotes a custom price after a demo. Its pricing page says pricing is structured around the number of team members on the license, so every person you add moves the bill. The two packages it lists are for law firms and in-house legal teams, and as of October 2026 neither names ACM or carries a price.
I chose ContractSafe because it offered the best balance of simplicity, functionality, and value.
ContractSafe runs the lifecycle today. Anyone can submit a contract request through an intake form, approvals route in sequence, and a contract with one approver is approved in a median of 17 hours. A fully approved contract moves straight to our built-in e-signature. Every upload is OCR-searchable, and AI pulls the key dates for you to confirm, getting auto-renewal status and termination dates right more than 96% of the time in sampled scoring. Approvals and e-signature start on Finalize; intake forms and lifecycle tracking come with Maximize.
Spellbook ACM became generally available on October 7, 2026. Its launch post lists intake, review, approvals and a repository after signature: the stages of a contract lifecycle, under a new name. The ContractSafe numbers above are measured on live customer accounts, not taken from a launch announcement.
ContractSafe has become our one stop shop for contract lifecycle management, from initial review through redlines, signatures, building a company contract playbook to use in drafting, and easily scheduling reporting and automated reminder alerts.
ContractSafe includes unlimited users on every plan. Sales, procurement, HR, finance and the executives who approve can all have a login, and the price doesn’t change. The median customer has invited 15 people and a third have invited 25 or more; adding a colleague is a click, not a line item. Permissions keep each person to the folders and contracts they should see.
Spellbook prices by the number of team members on the license. That’s the structure on its pricing page as of October 2026, and both packages it sells are aimed at legal teams, law firms and in-house departments. Contracts touch far more people than legal, and with a per-member license every one of them is a decision about cost.
Price, unlimited users, and core functionality were the key highlights for ContractSafe.
ContractSafe comes with its own onboarding team. Every plan includes onboarding, training, migration of your existing contracts and data, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager, with no implementation fee. The median new customer has its first contract in the system within a week of buying, and 70% of new customers who have an onboarding meeting need only one in their first 90 days. AI reads each contract on upload and fills in the dates for you to confirm.
Spellbook’s pricing page lists training sessions and online support, and as of October 2026 no migration, onboarding or implementation service. A legal department of one, or a contracts manager standing up a system alone, gets a named ContractSafe success manager, migration included, from day one.
Setting up ContractSafe was very easy, which is a big plus for me.
ContractSafe signs the contract where it’s stored. Finalize and Maximize include unlimited built-in e-signatures with no per-user charge and no envelope limit. Signers open an email and sign without creating an account, the signed copy replaces the draft with the audit trail attached, and the contract is already in the repository with its dates tracked. From sent to fully signed takes a median of about six hours.
Spellbook’s integrations directory lists no e-signature tool. As of October 2026 it lists seven integrations, for file storage, Slack and legal data sources, and not one of them signs a document. Spellbook’s own comparison brief, dated October 1, 2026, identifies no native e-signature capability in its own product materials.
I value ContractSafe’s contract approvals and e-signing, which have streamlined our processes.
ContractSafe includes a dedicated Customer Success Manager on every plan at no extra cost, plus live chat, email and phone support 24 hours a day, five days a week, from full-time ContractSafe employees. When a chat needs a person, someone replies in a median of under two minutes, and 97% of rated support chats are rated happy.
What ContractSafe users say: “To date, my overall experience with ContractSafe has been excellent. Whenever I have a question, I can easily reach out to my Customer Success Manager, search the comprehensive help resources, or use the chat feature to connect with support.”
